  问题: Can you sell yourself in two minutes? Go for it. 你能在两分钟內自我推荐吗?大胆试试吧!

  面试者: With my qualifications and experience, I feel I am hardworking, responsible and diligent in any project I undertake. Your organization could benefit from my analytical and interpersonal skills. 依我的资格和经验,我觉得我对所从事的每一个项目都很努力、负责、勤勉。我的分析能力和与人相处的技巧,对贵单位必有价值。

  问题: Give me a summary of your current job description. 对你目前的工作,能否做个概括的说明。

  面试者: I have been working as a computer programmer for five years. To be specific, I do system analysis, trouble shooting and provide software support. 我干了五年的电脑程序员。具体地说,我做系统分析,解决问题以及软件供应方面的支持。

  问题: Why did you leave your last job? 你为什么离职呢?

  面试者: Well, I am hoping to get an offer of a better position. If opportunity knocks, I will take it. 我希望能获得一份更好的工作,如果机会来临,我会抓住。

  面试者: I feel I have reached the "glass ceiling" in my current job. I feel there is no

  面试者: Yes, I think so.

  问题: What range of pay-scale are you interested in? 你喜欢那一种薪水层次标准?

  面试者: Money is important, but the responsibility that goes along with this job is what interests me the most. 薪水固然重要,但这工作伴随而来的责任更吸引我。

  面试者: (假如你有家眷,可以说:) To be frank and open with you, I like this job, but I have a family to support. 坦白地说,我喜欢这份工作,不过我必须要负担我的家庭。

  注意事项:

  第一、注意语言的准确性

  即语法和用词的准确性、词汇的丰富性、句式的灵活性、语音语调的准确性、断句的自然性等。

  第二、注意在自我介绍里对自己进行亮点包装

  找到自己独特的卖点,不露痕迹地推销自己。比如,你可以罗列你在大学期间所看的相关领域的经典著作、参加过的业内重要会议及收获、跟本科导师所做过的项目等。

  第三、注意语言的得体性

  即言谈是否得体,是否符合语境,实现了语言的交际功能。考官如果问生活化的问题,回答的时候你就选择口语化的表达;

  若问学术性的问题或者比较严肃的社会热点话题,你就要回答得稍微正式一些。

  第四、注意内容的连贯性和语言的衔接性

  连贯性和衔接性体现了你思维逻辑的'缜密性,会让考官觉得你具有研究生的潜质。要养成围绕一个统一的话题而分点展开论证的论述习惯。

  在考前也可以准备一些转承起合的连词,如to begin with , what's more , finally , however , although , to summarize 等。

  第五、镇定、自信,面对变化不要慌张

  有的老师提问时喜欢在你对上个问题的回答中搜寻下一个问题的影子,其目的在于考察考生是否具备研究人员应该具备的应变能力。

  第六、注意回答的个性化

  不要人云亦云,要另辟蹊径。具有创新精神是一名优秀的研究人员所必备的素质,所以你在回答考官的问题时尽量想些有新意、有创意的答案。练习如何从研究生的角度综合分析问题,对问题进行整合与深度加工,答出广度与深度。

  另外,如果你感觉自己理解得不是很透彻、很到位,或者你实在想不出什么有特色的答案,你可以提出你对该问题的质疑或者提出自己对相关话题的担忧,然后诚恳地跟老师探讨,不必担心会因此顶撞老师,学术上本就应该百家争鸣,百花齐放,在讨论中,导师会从中看出你的独到性、逻辑性和思维的敏锐性。

  第七、注意细节

  如果没有听懂考官的问题,你不必抓耳挠腮,而一定要淡定--Would you please say that again more slowly ? I didn't catch you . 如果你在进考场之前门是关着的,你要先敲门再进去;给考官递交材料时要双手奉上;要将手机调为静音模式等。

  第八、注意自己的言谈举止

  要落落大方、不卑不亢、温文尔雅;着装得体,不要太社会化,奇装异服等,要牢记自己的学生身份。

  第九、注意知己知彼百战百胜

  在英语面试前可对考官进行一番调查,了解考官的出题风格(喜欢考专业知识、热点话题还是常考话题)、语言风格(是英音还是美音)、喜好(如喜欢什么样的学生--稳重型、活泼型、创意型还是学术型)等。
