Good morning, ladies and gentlemen,

　　My honor is to give you a speech here. Since I am the last but one, I think everyone should be tired now. So I would like to start my speech with a gesture. Do you know what am I doing? Yes, I am playing a computer. Well, today, my topic is “Computers play an important part in our life”.

　　With the development of social economy, especially the modern technology, computers are widely used in our daily life. It plays a vital role in areas of teaching, medicine, architecture, military etc. We can use computers to surf on the internet, make use of education software programs, and communicate with others by QQ, MSN. Well, computers serve us in many ways.

　　First, computers could deliver information quickly. We could find want we want on the computer. We can also read up-to-date news, learn English, and search many resources on it. It is very convenient.

　　Second, computers could be used as tools. Teachers use computers to teach their students; doctors exam their patients by using the means of computers; architects use computers to make their designs. Computers are around us.

　　Last but not least, computers could be used for our entertainment. By using computer, we could listen to the music, watch movies, and play computer games. We are happy when we are using computer.

　　To sum up, computers are very useful today. Whenever you go, high up in space and deep down to the oceans, you can see and use computers. Without computer, a lot of things would be impossible. The world will not be what it is today.

　　So computer plays important part in our life. Thank you very much!
